EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR FELLOWSHIP
The Executive Director Fellowship through the NJCSLP identifies a cohort of Highly Qualified Rising Charter Entrepreneurs to envision, design, and actualize a transformational charter school model. The ED Fellowship is a small cohort-based incubation experience for New Jersey Leaders ready to take the leap into Charter Foundership.
The intensive program guides our ED Fellows through a rigorous learning cycle rooted in the key elements of the Charter School Application process.

The Executive Director Fellowship will follow a succinct learning cycle that invites our Founders to Learn, Explore, Collaborate, and Present their school models to their Colleagues, Mentors, and Peers. The core content of the program is presented in tandem with the New Jersey Charter School Application process and Timeline. The scope and sequence segment the 6 primary sections and exhibits of the application into concrete design/ inquiry cycles and deliverables.

Applications Open - FALL 2022
WORKSHOP FACILITATION
The initial session of
each learning cycle
offers fellows the
core content of the
charter school
application. At this
session, Fellows
learn, review, unpack,
and inquire about the
presented exhibit.
APPLICATION DELIVERABLES
Between each session there will be assigned deliverables for ED Fellows to complete that align with the exhibits of the Charter School Application. Each deliverable will be paired with a (Schools to Learn From) Model Exploration Report.
COMMUNITY OF PRACTICE
Within each phase of the learning cycle there will be designated sessions for feedback, inquiry, and refinement within the cohort.
DELIVERABLE PRESENTATION
For each Application Section, Fellows will present their final submission to the team and conduct an Equity Audit that assesses levels of Equity and access within each subset of the application.
REFINEMENT/
SUBMISSION
At the conclusion of each Phase, Fellows will codify the section of their Charter Application into a succinct capstone proposal to be submitted to the NJ Charter School Association for Final Feedback/
